Gleemo also makes a small line of large-print puzzle books, published under the pen name Hope Sterling. These are our own books: we earn a royalty when one sells, and the Amazon links on this page are affiliate links, so we also earn a small commission. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Our two newest books come first: Read Between the Lines, large-print word searches where the letters left over after the words are circled spell out a sentence written to her, each book to a different person. Below them are our Bible word search series, our nostalgia puzzles, two more puzzle books and a coloring book for the grandkids.
Dear Mom, Read Between the Lines
A large-print word search book with a second job. Every puzzle hides sixteen words. Circle them, and the letters you did not use spell out a sentence written to a mother. There is a different sentence on every one of the 100 puzzles.
It is made to be given, from a son or daughter to Mom: for Christmas, her birthday, Mother’s Day or no reason at all. It is not a children’s book.
How one puzzle works

What’s inside
- 100 puzzles, one to a page, on large 8.5 × 11 inch pages
- 15 × 15 letter grids set in 19-point type
- The solved grid and the hidden message on the back of every puzzle, so there is no flipping to an answer section
- Ten themed parts, from “The Heart of the Home” to “What I Want You to Know”
- A page at the front to write your own note before you give it
One thing to know before you give it
The messages are heartfelt on purpose. Part eight, “The Years I Was Difficult”, is written as a grown child’s apology to their mother. That fits a lot of families, but not every one, so if you are unsure, read the ten part titles listed on the Amazon page before you buy.
Dear Grandma, Read Between the Lines
The Christmas edition. It is built like Dear Mom: 100 puzzles, one to a page, each hiding sixteen words. Here the leftover letters spell a sentence from a grown grandchild to the grandmother who made Christmas, a different one on every puzzle.
Its ten Christmas parts run from “The First Cold Morning” to “What You Gave Us Every December”, and one part is given to the first Christmas. It is made for Christmas morning, her stocking, or the quiet week after.
Inside, it matches Dear Mom: 15 × 15 grids in 19-point type, the solved grid and full message on the back of every puzzle, and a page at the front for your own note. One thing to know: a part called “The Chairs That Are Empty” is tender, so if your family has had a recent loss, read it before you give the book.
The Golden Thread: a large-print Bible word search in four volumes
Four volumes that follow one thread through all 66 books of the Bible, in the King James Version. Circle every word in a puzzle, then read the leftover letters top to bottom: they spell a complete verse from the chapter the puzzle is named for. Each volume has 100 puzzles, one 12 × 12 grid to a page with grid letters set at 22.8 point, plus five Golden Thread Match activities, on 232 pages at 8.5 × 11 inches. Each volume is a good place to begin.

Volume 1: From Eden to Exile and Return
Genesis to Esther

Volume 2: Voices in the Waiting
Job to Malachi

Volume 3: The Word Made Flesh
Matthew to Acts

Volume 4: All Things New
Romans to Revelation
